Policy for Limb/Brush/Leaf Pick Up

Limbs/Brush Pick Up -- Limbs and Brush pick up will begin on the first Monday in March and will be every Monday thereafter. In the event of a Monday holiday, pick up will be the next day. Absolutely NO grass is permitted in limbs, brush and leaf piles!

*Limb/brush collection will be at the curb only. We will not pick up in any yards or alleys.

*All limbs must be stacked in piles at streets edge with large sections facing in the same direction. DO NOT PLACE PILES OUT IN THE STREET!

*NO limbs larger than six inches in diameter and 6 feet in length will be picked up.

*Small piles of branches/limbs must be placed in a cardboard box or bundled with twine.

*Please avoid parking vehicles in front of piles. If easy access is not given, they will not be picked up.

Any limb/brush pile that takes more than 20 minutes to load, will be subject to a collection fee and billed to the property owner at the current hourly rate of our village worker, prorated to the nearest 10 minutes.  In cases that all piles are not picked up on Mondays, crews will continue the next day.

If residents have the capability of getting limbs/brush down to dump site south of town, the mayor or village worker will give access to dropping that material off.

Leaf Pick Up -- Leaf pick up usually begins mid to late October with no set schedule. We will be making passes through the village several days a week.

*Leaves must be piled at the curb/edge of street. No yards/alleys.

*Piles are to be leaves ONLY! NO GRASS! Limbs/brush are to be in separate piles, away from leaves.

***If grass or any other yard/garden or flower bed debris is mixed in leaves, leaves will not be picked up!

*Please avoid parking in front of piles. If easy access is not provided, leaves will not be picked up!
